Nice one Frank - beguilingly simple
Works beautifully tonight at 2100 UT
from 55 04 N 001 27 W Alphecca and Eltanin.
But ( for an Oldie ) lateral distances between stars both at altitudes above 45 degrees in the dark may require an escort to pick me up when I fall over backwards.
I'll think I'll stick to my speadsheet ( having gone to the bother of putting it together) and keep looking out for near vertical sets with a lower base such as the similar distance between Deneb and Eltanin tonight.
