I recently purchased several Kollsman periscope sextants from ebay seller tammy4204. They were warehoused in serviceable condition in the 80's by US depots and although some of them had lost fluid from the bubble chamber with one exception they were otherwise still in good condition.
I believe the entire lot Tammy has available is originally serviceable, unlike other offers I've seen on ebay that included items with NRTS and/or 350 tags indicating required repairs.
Tammy is not knowledgeable regarding sextants but was willing to communicate on the condition of sextants I was considering buying and replaced one I had purchased that had somehow incurred mechanical damage.
I have no interest in Tammy's business other than that it occurred to me that others here may benefit from contacting her to obtain a serviceable or easily repairable bubble sextant for close to $100. I know I'm pleased with mine.
As an avionics tech on C5s in the '80s I eyed these often and owning one is like a dream come true.
Hope this was helpful.
Best,
M
