It been some years since I've commented on mirror Artificial Horizons so I'll reiterate. Take and glue the mirror to a board of the same size with a hole appropriate for a camera tripod mounting. It will then be at a height convenient for standing and have a larger field of view.
Use the tilting handles to level the mirror by holding a plum bob next to the mirror. If the string of the bob and the reflection of the string are in a straight line the mirror is level in that direction. Do this from two pependicular directions, appropriate for the tilt handle you adjust and the mirror is level.
