Marty,
The first surface floating mirror is for use when observing dim stars and planets. Precision is still good with the double 180 observation method. I routinely get 10 observations in a row at or better than a 1 moa from GPS position. Liquid is still best for sun, moon, venus, jupiter, mars, and sirius.
