Dear David,
Yes, it is possible to use an ИМС-3 (as ИАС-1, ИАС-1М or SOLD KM2) without the integrator, but that's hugely inconvenient, - one has to read vernier scale with VERY odd graduations. And most importantly - one has to make sure the drum does not move when the angle is read out, - that's even more difficult to achieve.
I wish Frank updates the program to properly support the integating type of sextants.
