I was just talking about the altitude, not the azimuth. But the same thing goes for that too if your azimuth measuring device (we use panoramic telescopes) which have the same kind of mounting, azis parallel with the bore of the gun, cross levelling bubbles to ensure that the plane that you are measuring azimuth in is horizontal.
