Frank As you can see from the picture she was very happily sitting in a wooden nest at Buckler's Hard boat yard on the River Beaulieu when we visited in August. She doesn't look like she intends going anywhere soon. Also attached is Chichester's chart of the S Atlantic with positions marked. The symbol would suggest these are daily position fixes but perhaps some were DR? Also a map of the whole voyage on display at Buckler's Hard Maritime Museum https://www.bucklershard.co.uk/attractions/maritime-museum/ More pics and some text on GM IV on Museum web site https://www.bucklershard.co.uk/attractions/gipsy-moth/ Bill On Sat, 16 Oct 2021 at 02:17, Frank Reedwrote: > > I had no idea that GM IV has been sold and is moving to Guernsey! > https://www.yachtingmonthly.com/news/gipsy-moth-iv-finds-new-owners-80583 > > Frank Reed > >
