Earlier this year, Millie Hughes-Fulford, a NASA Space Shuttle crew specialist and the wife of the late George Fulford, a retired RCAF Pilot/Navigator/Flight Engineer and UAL Pilot, passed away. George had amassed a one-of-a-kind collection of a variety of navigational instruments and aides, over 350 items in total. Most items are aeronautical, with a few nautical and ground nav applications. Included are sextants, stadimeters, flight computers, optical instruments, drift meters, bombsights, and assorted items, from the US, UK, Germany, Japan, Italy, and the former USSR.
I am assisting the estate seller in the liquidation of the Fulford Nav Collection. The on-site estate sale will be held toward the end of April, located in the San Francisco Bay Area. However, many of the more unique items will be made available on-line for best-offers by interested buyers. I will post a link on NavList to the Fulford Collection at AeroAntique.com once the collection is ready for viewing. All items are intended to be sold (not donated) at market value, plus shipping from California.
For now, I appreciate your patience until the first lot is posted. Unfortunately, before then, one-off inquiries may go unanswered. However, any individual or institution interested in procuring multiple items are welcome to contact me directly 2banaviator@gmail.com.
More to come....
