HI all, I just translated the war diary/KTB of U-1228 for a patrol on which the boat carried a gyro-sextant. You can read it at uboatarchive.net/KTB1228-2.htm The sextant is mentioned on page 6, 10, 12, 31, 32 (comparison with regular sextant), 34, 40, 41, and 45 (summary). If anyone has documentaion of this sextant I would enjoy reading it. Thanks, Jerry
