Andrés,
Did the smiley show up at the end of my line about the boat?
Your program is certainly more suited for practical navigation than Celestial Tools. Celestial Tools was really only expected to be a teaching/training aid for Power Squadrons courses.
Since webs.com started expecting me to pay them so I can give away Celestial Tools for free, I have stopped using it. I added this message to the site:
SORRY - THIS WEB SITE WILL NO LONGER BE SUPPORTED. I REFUSE TO PAY FOR THE PREMIUM PACKAGE SO I CAN GIVE AWAY A COMMERCIAL-QUALITY PROGRAM FOR FREE.
OK - maybe I'm pushing "commercial-quality" a bit.
Also, the USPS link you show takes you to the "old" web site, which is no longer being updated. You can get to the latest released version of Celestial Tools on the "new" web site with
https://www.usps.org/index.php/departments/13000/13000-educational-committees/13260/13260-software-and-tools
but you might have to be a USPS member to access it. If there is enough interest I'll post the latest to NavList.
Stan

Hello Stan, air navigation also used GC sailing!
Nowadays practical use of gnomonic charts is nearly over...
nobody improvises a GC route on the fly.
My program, and others, can export the GC/Composite sailing data in GPX format, to be used on an ECS, ...
Also OpenCPN has a built in tool to plot GC and obtain RL waypoints, (attached).
yes method 2.
