The BBC announcement, which also appeared on the 10.00PM News, was doubly reassuring to me at least. Firstly, the ‘BBC English’ pronunciation for the star sounded very like ‘Beetle Juice’. Secondly, they described it as the reddish looking star in the top left corner of Orion indicating that, despite the distractions of modern life, the BBC assumes that most Brits still remember what Orion is and how to identify it.
