Hello!
So, friction (and gravity) make a gyro straight again, Does this mean that oiling the bearing would simply make the gyro straightening slower/longer?
One more detail: I think/suspect that if gyro's CG and tip of the axis are VERY near - so near that the CG is barely under the bearing contact point - then the horizontal shocks would have very little "arm of force" to upset the gyro. Thus greater gyro stability.
