Here i a time sight I worked about a week ago.
AM sight
lat 41 06.5
dec 4 46.8 S
t 44 03.4 E
From Norie ABC A .9 N
B .1 S
Subtacting according to the rules on the tables gives C = .8 N
From which Z = 58°.9 NE
Plotting on the graph gives 57°. From the ABC calculation I know that this is 57°NE. It was a morning sight so the E can be predicted. The N is the non-elevated pole(not sure of the correct term) so we can deduce that Hanno's graph refers to the non-elevated pole.
I shouild repeat this with a PM sight but I am being pestered to go out shopping......
