Hello:
Isn’t this the traditional “time sight” that one can use or do from
any known location. This is best done when the sun is well away from
noon..... described as “ to the east or west”. With a little practice and
interpolation/averaging I think you can achieve a time check to within 30
seconds,,,,,,maybe even 10-15 seconds. Someone will let us know
achievable time accuracy.
