Residing as I do at lat 41 south I checked the map for New Zealand. Much to my surprise I discovered that the Huka Lodge is of importance to airman adrift in the southern ocean. I can only assume that Harold Felbar had in front of him a brochure issued by the NZ Tourist and Publicity Department. I am puzzled though. In that era Rotorua (not shown on the ma) was probably the prime tourist destination in the Dominion of NZ.
