Found the following table in the back of the Air Almanac post which may be applicable:
"Corrections To Be Applied To Marine Sextant Altitudes" (dip of the horizon)
It seems that my 1-2 feet above sea level when using the natural horizon for sextant calibration is within the accuracy parameters of most bubble sextants.(1 min. of angle)
