This is a Hughes Mates Vernier Three Circle Sextant not a micrometer one. No 6765 was probably produced around 1911. See https://www.charlesmillerltd.com/auction/lot/217-A-6IN-RADIUS-VERNIER-SEXTANT-BY-H-HUGHES---SONS-LONDON-CIRCA-1911-and-another-sextant/?lot=104 , so 5154 was before that. Observator might have rebuilt it or serviced for someone in 1957. Having said that Oservator do seem to have marketed their own sextants, and do seem to have a penchant for three circle frames. Perhaps they bought the frames in originally from Hughes. DaveP
