The attached graph shows 40 artificial horizon trial observations using a high altitude camera bris sextant on a DSLR Canon Rebel body with 35mm Pentax vintage lens. The camera is used only to hold the Bris sextant in a fixed position for observational consistency. Images of observation were not taken. Timing was marked using a Casio digital watch. Watch set to UTC using WWV short wave signal.
The median intercept worked out to 1.7' with a toward bias for all the reflected images. A small adjustment to the high altitude Bris calibration table may be needed (-2') so that there will be an equal number of toward and away intercepts on future high altitude camera Bris observations.
