Horizon shades and an index microscope?
    From: Tony Oz
    Date: 2018 Nov 12, 01:01 -0800

    Hello.

Just noticed that I can not measure angles wider than ~100° if horizon shades are not engaged (i.e. not put into viewing path, up), the shades and the microscope that is over the scale and drum on the index arm meet near the far end.

Is it an oversight of designers (of my SNO-T) or those shades are in the wrong place altogether (after somebody tried service the sextant before me)? But the sextant looks just like its' brethren I saw on pictures...

    Regards,

    Tony
