How to put a mirror spring in place ?

Hello,
Every time I try to fit new mirror springs on a sextant, I encounter a lot of difficulties: spreading the spring, inserting the small screw in its place, screwing it in with the screwdriver ... I don't know how to do this easily.
Do you have a particular technique for setting up these little springs? If so, can you tell me?
