Dear Philippe,
If you ask about springs like here, then my experience is as follows:
- remove the mirror from its' sitting place
- put the screw through the spring's eye and let the screw to enter its' thread - without the mirror
- make sure the screw has made ~2 turns in its' thread
- take the spring by the loop near its' part that should contact the mirror, - and pulling the spring - turn the spring on the screw so it lays on the mirror box's surface near the screw
- do this with all three springs
- insert the mirror in its' sitting place
- holding the spring with something soft (like a piece of sewing thread) - turn it back to the mirror's surface
- tighten all the screws properly
