Gallinstan does appear to be impractically expensive at nearly $600 for 50g. This website https://www.sciencecompany.com/Gallium-9999-50g-P17265.aspx has has pure gallium for $23 for 50g. They also sell half a pound of mercury for $145 which works out to $32 per 50g.
