Hello everyone,
Yesterday I was determining the Index Correction (I.C.) of my ASTRAIIIB sextant using the sun disc images and noticed a small dot. At first instance I thought that there was a dirt particle in optics of my sextant but then I realized that this is a sunspot: https://sohowww.nascom.nasa.gov/sunspots/ https://tesis.lebedev.ru/en/active_areas.html today the same story but somewhat different position of the sunspot on the sun disc.
I was wondering if it would be possible to have both images of the sunspot clearly visible (different arrangements of filters and/or another telescope) than it would be possible to determine I.C. with a sunspot like with a star ...
kind regards,
Igor
