My excuse for having lots of syringes and needles is that my mother was a nurse.
If you remove the bubble chamber from the A12, there should not be anything that will be upset by some acetone being splashed around. To me, the perfect bubble size is three mm in diameter. Just keep blowing air or xylene into the chamber until you get that diameter. With some manipulation, you should be able to get the needle of the syringe into the bubble itself, which the most effective way to alter its diameter.
