    Steve,

Aries shifts about 1° per day along with all the stars as the Earth orbits the Sun through 365 days. More precisely would be the solar year of 365 days 5 hours 48 minutes 46 seconds vs. the siderial year 365 days 6 hours 13 minutes 53 seconds. If 2.5' is multiplied by 24 hours you get 60' or 1°.

    Dear Navlisters,

Regarding the increments and corrections table, is there a simple, quick and dirty, good answer for why there is a difference between the incremental degrees for the “Sun Planets” and the incremental degrees for Aries; the two start with the same degrees of 0° 00.0’ but end the year with a difference of 02.5’, why?

    Steve
