I find myseld in the possession of a device as shown in the images. It was presented as a Japanese bubble sextant, but actually I'm not so sure that it is.
It has a bubble chamber (empty), some moving parts, but I cannot make sense of its working. I cannot make a mirror move, and I am reluctant to apply force.
The texts are not modern Japanese but traditional Japanse, and provide no clues to me.
It is unlike another Japanese bubble sextant I've seen in pictures (which looks like a copy of the A-8A), or any Western sextant for that matter.
Any help, ideas or suggestions most welcome...
