Kollsman MA-2 bubble sextant, bubble repair

I hope you can help me. I bought a kollmans MA-2 bubble sextant (kollmans type nr 1972-01) as a hobby project. It now appears that the bubble itself does not work. it seems as if liquid needs to be added there, which is then formed into a bubble under air pressure by turning the adjustment knob. it seems the fluid has run out. Do you know if that can be the case and if so, what kind of liquid should be in it? I would like to hear from you,
