Hopefully this solves the problem. A voltmeter connected in parallel with the power supply should show if it's holding up under the load. Of course an ammeter would indicate how much current the sextant is drawing, but usually an ammeter is not as convenient as a voltmeter since it must be wired in series. -- Paul Hirose http://sofajpl.com/
