Dear Antoine,
I have well known Georges Bodenez who was "Directeur des Etudes" in Le Havre Merchant Navy School at the beginning of the 80's. I was then a young lecturer in navigation and I often help him for the check of his calculations. I have always a copy of his manuscript about Douwes Problem written in the 70's. G. Bodenez died a few month ago in his home of Plougastel, near Brest. He wrote also papers about three or more LOPs but, I don't know if they were published.
Curiously, the french book of M. Bourbon, about the Sumner Line (the new and complete book written in France on this subject), say nothing about the Bodenez method ... why ? I can attempt to answer later.
Was G. Bodenez the first one? I am not sure so I am going to research in my archives.
Best regards.
Paul.
