For determing Latitude at Noon by the Sun, Frank has learnt us, to use only one Formula.
Lat= (90°-Ho)+Dec and use the normal proper signs.
Dec=N use +, Dec=S use -, If your own shadow points N use +, if it points S use -.
But when you are near Spitsbergen at ~ 80°N, and you measure the height of the Sun at
midnight for your Latitude. (You can measure there your Lat twice a day in the Summer?).
Is there also one formula and Signrules for that case?
