Good morning DavidP,
Paul sent me a nice reply and link to his manual, which I promply purchased.
I've actual been a member on NavList since the early 2000's but threw many moves and changing emails, I lost my login info. Frank was nice enough to send me a new one.
I'm a retired ocean mariner of over 30 years and former celestial navigation instructor for licensed merchant mariners. Thoughly enjoy the topics that arrise and the many different methods that are rediscovered from the old days. I'm confortable diving all thru the methods found within HO 208, 229 & 249. Lunars have never been kind, and I stumble often with them, but I work to understand Franks posts and examples to learn where I went wrong.
I'm a Link bubble sextant fanatic with a small hoard of A-11 & A-12's in various states of repair. Bill Morris has been very generious with his knowledge and helping me when I've become stuck on issues. Sorry that Robert Swartz disappeared back in December of 2022. His posts were very beneficial when I was first learning to refill the bubble levels. Having taught celestial navigation, the Link CNT facinates me and I'm really sad that none still exist. I have all the manuals with the exception of the Parts Catalog which I'm all on the lookout for. If anyone is sitting on a copy, I will gladly pay for your efforts of scanning the 408 pages :-)
