Is there is a particular, printed form designed to assist with the Lunar Method of Sight Reduction?
Those of us brought into celestial navigation by the United States Power Squadrons use the USPS 2012 “ED SR 96a” form to assist with the intercept and azimuth method of sight reduction using the Law of Cosines.
A form specifically designed to assist with the systematic sight reduction method for Lunars might help me understand the intricacies of the method. If I can better understand the approach, I might be able to actually perform the reduction one of these days; a form for data collection and manipulation would help me.
Does such a format exist?
