Hello Steve,
What I never have understood, is why there is no Sign in the Equation of Time column in the nautical Almanac
Only the Mer.Pass time indicates if the Eq of Time value is positive or negative. (My youngest Almanac is from 1995)
In practice I use one Analemma diagram (sticked on the wall beside my desk) for quick determing
the meridian pass time.
