Came upon a post this evening... [about a] first surface mirror artificial horizon.
My sextant shots have either used a Davis Artifical Horizon or were taken with a real sea horizon, while visiting the North Carolina sea shore. The sea shore is the better of the two, but not always available to one living inland. Anyhow, looking at the photo of the rig, I noticed 4 leveling screws. I wonder if 3 levelers, 120 degrees apart might have been easier to work with.
