Dont apologize. Every lunar case has it's value in understanding the technique and improving your sextant and reductions.
I'm currently in central Florida in a semi-remote area and the sky is normally super clear. I wanted to do some Venus and some quarter waxing moon shots myself but it has been overcast for almost a week now. Go figure.
