I note a comment by DH Sadler Superintendant of the Nautical Almanac Office. He is not to be confused with the recently deceased Mike Sadler. Both gentlemen had an interest in navigation.
I wonder if Crosbie, Cotter, Sadler et al realise that a big technological change is coming that will make their skills redundant and "Latitude by Maximumum Altitude" only of interest to members of an obscure internet group. But wait-----what is the internet?
On the other hand maybe the discussion about rule 22 of the collision regs is till relevant today. I do not know.
