    WIth regards to the sextant, I looked on eBay for one of those 'display' sextants, those imitations made for coffee tables.  There are always a long list of them with their antique finishes and fake leather cases.  But I did not see one exactly like the one in the NASA header. The same companies that produce these also make psudo astrolabes, sundials, and other astro-navigation-trinkets.

    I think the NASA image sextant is a fake one, I'm just not sure where it came from.
