I thought the Dutch man lost at sea was named Gerrit-Jan Willerink (a
typical Dutch name), not Williahey.

One can see Willerink on this plaque, for example:

It being written in stone seemed like a good enough reason to correct
the Wikipedia entry, until I noticed a different memorial at the top of
the page had Williahey etched on it:

To confuse things further, John Rousmaniere calls the lost man 'G. J.
Williabey' (with a 'b', not an 'h') in 'Fastnet, Force 10'. He made some
other spelling mistakes with Dutch names in the book, so I'm not sure
his version is any better:

Another book, 'Left for Dead', manages to misspell his first name as
well: Gerit-Jan Williahey.
