Stuart T's post is very relevant. Do you remember Yahoo Groups? I was a member of several groups dealing with another of my subjects of interest. All messages were numbered and were searchable - just like Navlist. Over the years a large volume of material was documented. Then Yahoo self-destructed and the groups were closed and the archives deleted. In an instant the archives were gone. Even today I sometimes think of something that would be searchable on the group archives - if they still existed!
To put it bluntly Frank there will come a time when you no longer manage the Navlist archive. Will the information be lost forever?
