It turns out cancelling for Saturday has been endorsed by the weather gods. There's a fairly solid prediction for a "noreaster" during the day on Saturday. I'll post an update for an "informal" gathering soon.

Repeating my earlier message for anyone who missed it:
"It looks like all of the "likely suspects" who might have been able to plan on this are busy with other important events and/or crises for Oct. 27, so I'm going to cancel our "formal" plans for an "informal" gathering. However Stan Klein is still hoping to visit if he's feeling well enough, and I am there for sure because I'm teaching both days. Gary LaPook is going to be in town... Gary, do you know how your plans are shaping up? I know you're travelling with family, so naturally that's priority. Anyone else, if you decide at the last minute that you're able to swing by, please stop by the Howell Classroom on the lower level of the planetarium between 4:00 and 4:30 on Saturday afternoon, and then we can figure something out.
