It's time for some NavList online fun!
OK, social distancing is not fun, and we all know that. And tech isn't fun either. But experimenting with online interactivity technology is good for us now and good for us in the future. No doubt about this! And it can be fun, too.
I'm running two sessions today that are not connected with my upcoming workshop. They're for NavList members interested in online social interaction. It's a chance to hang out. It's a chance to experiment with Zoom. We'll start in a simple chatroom. And from there I'll provide links to a Zoom meeting for those of you who want in. If this works out, and folks enjoy it, I'll arrange these sessions once or twice a week.
TODAY, 2020 April 8:
1:00pm-1:50pm EDT (1700-1750 UT): ReedNavigation.com/chat/
7:00pm-7:50pm EDT (2300-2350 UT): ReedNavigation.com/chat/
The chatroom will be open a few minutes before start time. Until then, you'll find a "come back later" message. It's absolutely trivial to join the chat once it's open. Just type a message. Once you're in, the only thing you need to do is change your nickname (please, change to your real name) by clicking on the Settings "gear" icon.
Links to a Zoom meeting will be available in the chat after a few minutes, and then you can experiment. See you then!
