Since I had to do quite a lot of manual editing to get Alex's message in proper form (thanks to stone-age email software on the user's end! :) ), I acquired copies of the original pages of the book. Here are those pages for context in case anyone wants a little more for this story. This is fiction, of course, but if you want to think through whether it makes any sense in navigation terms, it may help to have this context.
