Driving a camper van south down the east side of South Island New Zealand on their main road the A1, in Feb 2000.......
There was a large road sign in the middle of nowhere in particular stating 'Latitude 45 degrees South'
Obviously to warn northern hemisphere visitors of the risks ahead ....
Is the sign still there?
