It is lying fallow, with some remaining life.
The design of the face of the slide rule is complete. The stuff that is supposed to be the easy part...finishing the design so that a machine shop with a CNC machine can fabricate it...is the part that remains uncompleted.
On the plus side, I retired from my work as a computer programmer 3 months ago, so am getting into a routine of finishing tasks that have lain dormant, such as cleaning the basement (and finishing the slide rule).
