    I'm not quite sure what do you mean by hanging? The index arm moves freely and the force needed to move it is quite constant. Only in the position approx. 70 degrees, where it has been kept for long time in the box, there is a slight jamming when releasing the arm/drum, but it goes away after moving it a bit. This might be due to old grease or something like that.
