Interesting results with your Telemeter. I had purchased mine right before a trip to Iceland and never got a chance to use it. Too busy hiking.
It is defiently much less weight than a sextant. I know when I drag my sextant on trips to the beach it is pretty unweildy. Much more situation for on boat use.
