Oersted is a measure of the H field and Tesla is a measure of the B field and, although not exactly the same thing, in free space they can me considered to be the same. So one micro Tesla is the equivelent of 0.01 Oersted. So the 0.06 Oe curve of erratic compass relability in the HO 216 is the equivalent of the 6000 nT curve in the newer chart. shifted a bit towards Russia as the magnetic pole has moved. http://www.hkd.co.jp/english/unit_conv/
