Oblateness calculation given observer's latitude

Can someone point me to references that show how earth's oblateness is computed from an observer's latitude? It is a refinement for clearing lunar distances.
I find many references stating oblateness it is not considered by this clearing method or another. And comments that, at times, it is such a smal correction it is ignored.
But I never see a formula or how it is computed.
