Dang Frank. Wish I could attend to night for the lunar tutorial but I can’t make it tonight! Maybe next time.
I also wanted to discuss the geometry of a sextant and the proof that the mirror angle is half the object’s altitude. I’m having trouble with a proof but I haven’t given up yet!

I'm hosting my online "Office Hours" tonight at 6pm Eastern US time (2300 UT). Here's the link with the links:
ReedNavigation.com/talk/.Tonight I plan to talk for about 15 minutes about lunars for beginners. Just the basics of setting them up and shooting with your sextant, and how to analyze quickly with my web app. I'm teaching my Lunars workshop next week, so I'm in the mood! After that, if there's interest, we can chat about anything, so long as there is at least a tenuous connection to navigation!
