Own sextant - always better

At the beginning of November last year, despite the pandemie, I had an opportunity to have a short voyage on board a cargo vessel from The Netherlands to England and back. The weather conditions were exceptionally good. Unfortunately I could not find neither sextant nor the Nautical Almanac on board :(. It was the only one regret during the voyage.
Lesson learned. If you are going to sail having in mind to practice celestial navigation, you would better take your own: sextant + almanac(or printed pages for the time of voyage) + sight reduction tables.
